Refund Policy

  • Refund Policy

Refunds are offered within 30 days of purchase, provided that no more than the first three training sessions have been accessed. Refund requests must be made in writing before the fourth session is accessed. Email refund requests to WSMK9@aol.com within 30 days.

No refunds are given after 30 days or once the fourth session has been accessed. By checking out in our store, you agree to these policies and terms prior to making your payment.

No refunds for Training Packages and Board & Train contracts after 72 hours of checkout. If online training is included with the package, the cost of accessed sessions will be deducted from the refund amount.

No refunds for unused portions of expired packages or free bonuses included with packages, such as online courses.

  • Required Paperwork

After purchasing an In-Person Training Package or Board & Train program, you will receive an email with the necessary agreements and policies. These documents must be printed, initialed, signed, dated, and returned within three days of purchase and before scheduling your training. You must also provide your dog's health documentation prior to training.

  • Program Expiration

Services included with our 4-Week Board & Train Program expire 30 days after the pick-up date. In-Person Training Packages expire three months from the purchase date.

  • Service Exchanges

No exchanges of services are permitted once training has started, except in rare cases, which will be handled individually. No exchanges of services that would cause any interruption in training. No exchange of services purchased at regular prices for other services at discounted prices during sales. Any warranted exchange will be done at regular pricing.

  • Aggression Policy

Dogs demonstrating aggression of any kind require an evaluation. Services can be exchanged for Board & Train for adult dogs with severe human-directed aggression, severe separation anxiety, or constant escape behaviors unless an evaluation approves Board & Train.

Dogs exhibiting aggressive behaviors towards trainers or other humans may be removed from the program at the owner's expense, unless approved through an evaluation. Training cannot be transferred to another dog. Leash-pulling is not considered lunging if not human-directed. Puppies who nip and bite require an evaluation before acceptance into the program.

  • Evaluation fee

Evaluation fees are non-refundable and subject to our Cancellation Policy. They will be forfeited if you no-show or fail to cancel with less than 48 hours' notice. One evaluation per dog.

  • Discounts and Promotions

Sale discounts cannot be combined with other discounts or offers. Multiple dog discounts are available when purchasing training packages for two or more dogs from the same household at regular price, paid in a single transaction. This discount cannot be combined with other offers. Training must be consistent and uninterrupted before the expiration date, which applies to both dogs. Handlers must be in the same household, and each package is for one dog. Packages expire together.

  • Training Consistency

Training schedules must be flexible to accommodate daily practice at home and consistent attendance at sessions and group classes. Training Packages and Board & Train programs are designed to be continuous and cannot be broken into smaller segments or extended over a longer period.

  • Training Guarantees

I cannot promise specific timelines or guarantees for training results. Successful training involves learning techniques, consistent practice, attending professional training sessions, multiple owners being consistent, socialization, ongoing guidance, follow-up training, the dog's health and age, and more.

  • Ongoing Training Support

Ongoing training support is available through semi-private sessions, weekly group classes, board & train programs, and private sessions.

  • No Money Back Guarantee

I cannot offer a money-back guarantee on training packages, board & train programs, training sessions, group classes, or any combination of these. Successful training requires daily practice and long-term commitment.

  • Emergency Situations

Dog owners must notify the office in writing within 48 hours if their dog is stolen, lost, becomes ill, is injured, or dies. These situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

  • Non-Refundable Situations

No refunds will be given if you decide to return your dog to a breeder, shelter, or rescue organization after purchasing or completing training. If you move out of the area or decide you live too far away, no refunds will be given. No refunds for completed evaluations, no-shows, late arrivals, or cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice.

  • Expiration Dates

Training packages, refresher packages, semi-private, and private sessions have strict expiration dates from the kickstarter date to complete all sessions. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all private and semi-private sessions.

  • Scheduling

Training must begin as soon as staff can schedule it. Scheduling cannot be postponed beyond 30 days after a drop-off slot is available, unless there is a true emergency.

  • Shipping Policy

We ship starter kits and boxes by UPS ground to street addresses in the continental US only. Kits usually arrive within one to two weeks in two separate shipments. We don't ship to Hawaii, Alaska, US territories, or outside of the US.

Products ordered separately are shipped to all 50 states. Some apparel can be shipped internationally. Damaged or defective items must be reported within 10 days with digital photos of the item, shipping box, and packing materials. No returns or exchanges after 10 days or without original packing materials.

With authorization, products can be returned within 30 days of purchase if brand new, unused, not damaged, and in original packaging. Kits and training boxes must be insured and returned at the customer's expense. No returns or exchanges after 30 days.

No returns or exchanges on used training toys, tug toys, or pillows. These are not chew toys and should be used under supervision during training sessions. No returns for chewed or used equipment or toys.

All apparel is custom and made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged unless damaged due to shipping mishap or manufacturing defect. All original packing material must be returned.

Returns sent without prior written authorization will not be accepted. Returned items are subject to inspection. We reserve the right to deny returns or exchanges on the same products purchased and returned more than once. Returns not meeting our policy criteria will not qualify for return or exchange and may be returned at the client's expense or destroyed upon request.

We are not responsible for returned packages lost or damaged in transit. Shipping with tracking and insurance is recommended. No refunds or credits on shipping and handling costs.

Custom orders, including the import of working or companion canines, are subject to vendor policies, and refunds will depend on the order status. Deposits, transportation costs, and other fees may not be refundable. A minimum 15% restocking fee will be charged.

  • Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We attempt to send reminders before appointments. However, clients must be available on the assigned date and time. A full 48-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments by emailing WSMK9@aol.com. No-shows or late cancellations will forfeit the session.

  • Contact Information

We require a cell phone number with voicemail and a current email address for communication.

  • Emergency Situations

In true emergencies, contact the office immediately. Situations will be handled individually. Lack of childcare, traffic, last-minute rescheduling, and failure to check messages are not valid reasons to miss appointments.

  • Lateness

Clients arriving late for evaluations, training sessions, or group classes may have shorter appointment times.

  • Group Classes

Group classes are for dogs currently training with us, who have completed one of our programs, and know our training method. Handlers must book in advance and arrive no more than 15 minutes before and no later than 5 minutes after class begins. Late arrivals should not disrupt the class.

  • Electronic Devices

Handlers and observers may not use electronic devices during group classes. Cell phones must be turned off or silenced. No harnesses, retractable leashes, gentle leaders, or e-collars (unless trainer-approved) are allowed.

  • Clean Up

Please clean up after your dog. Do not bring children, guests, or other dogs to sessions or group classes.

  • Group Class Schedule Changes

We reserve the right to change the group class schedule and will notify clients at the previous class or via social media.

  • Rainy Day Policy

Outdoor classes may be canceled if it rains.

  • Group Class Subscriptions

Group class subscriptions are $97 per month for up to four classes, auto-paid every 30 days from the subscription purchase date. A 30-day written notice is required to cancel. Missed classes do not carry over to the next month. No refunds for unused classes.

  • Health Policy

To protect all dogs, we require:

    - Completed series of all standard vaccines and current boosters

    - Up-to-date rabies vaccine after four months of age

    - Recent de-worming

    - Ongoing monthly flea and tick prevention

    - New vaccine or up-to-date booster for bordetella bacterium (kennel cough)

    - Recent vet visit for a complete physical, skin check-up, and fecal lab test

    - Recent nail trimming

    - Recent sanitary cut and anal gland expression if needed

All immunizations, preventative maintenance, procedures, lab tests, and exams must be completed with detailed documentation from your vet before training starts. No exceptions. Female dogs in heat are not allowed in the facility or group classes for the full duration (usually 21 days).

  • Attendance Policy

To maintain a safe environment and minimize distractions, we limit who can accompany you to the facility. Only household members responsible for training and handlers involved in daily training can attend sessions. Handlers must participate in all training to be eligible and cannot use electronic devices during training. Cell phones must be turned off or silenced.
